Stellar Drift
A downloadable game for Windows
STELLAR DRIFT
You were supposed to be part of a crew. You jumped ship to chase the edge of the universe instead. Now you're alone on eight hostile worlds, and Mission Command will not stop calling.
Welcome to the Drift:
Stellar Drift is a cozy-but-dangerous top-down survival adventure. You ditched your mission to go find the literal edge of the universe — and now you have to actually survive it. Land on a planet, gather what you can, plant a Beacon to carve out a safe zone, and build a base before nightfall. Because at night, the friendly wildlife goes home... and the other kind comes out.
Each world is a fresh puzzle: a new hazard trying to kill you (heat, cold, toxic air, thin atmosphere, radiation), new flora and fauna to discover, and a Ship Forge to build so you can leave it all behind and do it again somewhere worse. Scan the locals to unlock research, craft the gear that keeps you breathing, forge your ship parts, and launch onward — while Mission Command, Cmdr. Vasquez, Hydro-tech Pim, Dr. Okafor, and Engineer Tran radio in with objectives, encouragement, and barely-veiled disappointment.
Features:
- 🪐 Eight handcrafted worlds, each with its own hazard, biome palette, and creatures — from the gentle Verdant Cradle to the irradiated Edge of the universe.
- 🌱 Discover everything — 6 plants and 6 animals per planet (some only out at night), plus forageable fruit and water pods. Scan them to learn their secrets and earn research.
- 🔨 Survive & build — manage health, hunger, thirst, energy and a sprint stamina bar; build a Beacon-protected base with beds, water, food, crafting, and storage.
- 🌒 Day/night & storms — true-dark nights with a circle of lantern-light, electrical storms you can see rolling in, and nocturnal predators that can't follow you into your safe zone.
- 📻 A crew that won't let go — a goofy, fully-voiced-in-text quest chain delivered over a handheld radio that slides up whenever Command has opinions.
- 🎮 Plays your way — full keyboard, mouse, and controller support, with on-screen prompts that match whatever you're holding.
